Everybody knows, that German Shepherds or Retrievers are very easy to train dogs. But what about small dog breeds. Border Terrier is sweet and affectionate and they are hardworking dogs. This easy to train terrier was originally used for hunting foxes.9) PomeranianOne of the most popular companion dog, pomeranian is outgoing, playful and independent dog. This is very loyal and devoted dog, who want to spend every minute with you and is very eager to please. Thanks to that, he can learn new tasks and commands very easily. This is extremely heavy shedder, so if you dont like vacuuming, this might not be good dog for you.8) Fox TerrierIn past, they were fox hunters. Today they are mostly used as great family companions. Those dogs are known for loving small kids and they are overall very loyal to their family. And they are extremely intelligent. Thanks to that, they are natural talents for obedience or agility.7) Swedish VallhundThose swedish dogs looks a little bit like a corgis. They are excellent herding dog that is dedicated to his family. They have a lot of energy, so you need to také them out for a regular exercises. He his very intelligent and easy to train and he loves to do challenging tasks. He just love learning new tricks.6) Brussels GriffonOriginaly bred to hunt rats, this dog is very intelligent, lively and he has good sense of humor. They even look smart, thanks to their monkey or human like face. Those dogs love their people, but they can be very independent, so you must train them with kindness and consistency, while using positive reinforcements techniques.5) Miniature SchnauzerThe smallest of Schnauzer, the miniature version is active, happy, energetic, loyal and affectionate. He is devoted to his family and will do everything to please them. He loves to be in center of attention and is good with kids. The only problem with this do, is that he doesnt know, how small he actually is, so he might bark and be agressive towards much larger dogs.4) Shetland SheepdogThe smaller version of Rough Collie, Shelties are very intelligent and active breed which excells at dog sports. They are also very eager to please, making them easy to train dogs. They are also very eager to work and loves playing with you. He might be sensitive to harsh training, so i would recommend you to use firm training methods.3) Welsh CorgiBoth, Cardigan Welsh Corgi and Pembroke Welsh Corgi are easy to train small dog breeds. The larger – Cardigan Welsh Corgi – is indepdendent, intelligent and sensitive dog who loves learning new things. The more popular one – the Pembroke Welsh Corgi – is more active and stubborn which also enjoy having work and loves learning new tricks.2) PapillonLot of toy breeds are stubborn, but that is not case of papillon. These dogs are very intelligent, eager to please and active dogs that enjoy learning new behaviors and do very well in various dog sports like agility. He is extremely easy to train, highly obedient and just love learning new tricks. This do is not recommended for young children because of his smallness and delicacy, but he loves older, well-behaved children. 1) Toy and Miniature PoodlePoodles looks like typical dog for life in luxury, but these dogs were bred to do real jobs. They were used as water retrievers. All varieties of Poodle – Toy, Miniature and Standard – are highly intelligent and eager to please. Poodles are elegant, proud and clever family dogs with ancient history and many talents.As you can see, even small dogs can be trained to do a lot of tricks.
